Pol Pintó

Barcelona, 1993.

Period of residence in Piramidón: desde abril de 2021.

Work: Pol Pintó (Barcelona, 1993) explores the infinite possibilities of action and how it leaves its mark on the world. His work is born from the legacy of the movement, characterized by abstraction, minimalism, and austerity. An extension of his interest in issues related to tension, space, and, above all, the search for the primary. To this end, he always uses unconventional and often seemingly mundane objects as tools. The expressive strokes that dominate his paintings come from the contact or friction of these objects, leaving little room for human intervention and embracing the randomness that comes with any type of movement.

Latest exhibitions:

  • Un rastro en el mundo. Programa Taide, 2021.
  • Màxima Rectitud. Espacio cultural EINA Barra de Ferro, Barcelona, 2020.

Among the collective exhibitions in which he has participated, the following stand out: Summer Pop Up Show, Únic Gallery; The Best Design of the Year, Barcelona Design Museum; MYBARRIO, Soho House Barcelona, and Bid-it event, Abaixadors 10.
