In 2025, Piramidón Centre d’Art Contemporani presents the first edition of its Acquisition and Residency Award at By Invitation in Barcelona, the modern and contemporary art fair organised by the Círculo Ecuestre, the oldest business club in Barcelona. The awarded artist was Iacopo Pinelli, presented by the Neapolitan gallery Shazar Gallery.
The prize begins with the acquisition of a work by the selected artist, which becomes part of the Piramidón Collection. As a second part of the award, the artist is invited to undertake a two-month residency in one of Piramidón’s studios in Barcelona, including both living and working space. During the residency, the artist has the opportunity to take part in a group exhibition and to establish connections with other artists, curators, and collectors within the field of contemporary art.
