Fran Baena was the first artist to win the Acquisition and Residency Prize, the result of our recent collaboration with the UVNT Art Fair, a fair known for its commitment to new trends and diversity in contemporary art.

In the last edition of UVNT 23, Piramidón awarded the Acquisition and Residency Prize for the first time, which combines the acquisition of a work by the selected artist, incorporating it into the Piramidón Collection, with a two-month artistic residency at our center in Barcelona.

From September to November 2023, Fran Baena enjoyed this residency, a space that integrates work and living areas while fostering dialogue between artists and cultural agents. During his stay, Fran worked on a new series of artworks that became part of his upcoming solo exhibition, titled Hyperpop, presented in January at the Palacio de los Condes de Gabia in Granada. This exhibition promised to immerse us in a world where artistic expression merges with pop aesthetics and the exploration of modern uncertainty.
