Mara Faúndez has been selected as this year’s winner of the Acquisition and Residency Prize, the result of our collaboration with the CAN Art Fair Madrid, a fair distinguished by its commitment to new currents and diversity in contemporary art. In this edition, Mara participated together with the gallery Isabel Croxatto Galería.
In the 2026 edition, Piramidón, Centre d’Art Contemporani has awarded this prize for the fourth time. The award combines the acquisition of a work by the selected artist—incorporating it into the Piramidón Collection—with a two-month artistic residency at our centre in Barcelona.
At the end of this year, Mara Faúndez will take part in this residency, a space that combines working and living areas, fostering exchange and dialogue between artists and cultural agents.
