Jordi Fulla Award

Piramidón Centre d’Art Contemporani presents the Jordi Fulla Artistic Residency Award, an initiative aimed at visual artists interested in developing their creative practice within the inspiring context of Barcelona.

This award offers a two-month residency designed to encourage immersion in the city’s vibrant artistic scene. The selected artists have access to a working studio at Piramidón and may take part in various cultural activities, creating connections with the local and international artistic community.

The programme is open to artists of any nationality and career stage, with the requirement of having held at least one solo exhibition in an art gallery or institution within the last three years. Through this unique experience, the award aims to support the participants’ careers and enrich their creative process.

In this first edition, the award was granted ex aequo to the winning artists Alícia Vogel (1991, Olot) and Guillermo Mora (1981, Alcalá de Henares).

In the case of Alícia Vogel, once the two-month residency had come to an end, she decided to establish herself as a permanent resident artist at the centre. Her exhibitions include How to Disappear Completely (Espacio88, 2023); Faîtes vos jeux, rien ne va plus (Espacio Busquets, 2019); Broken Things (La Plataforma, 2019); and Qui juga no dorm (Tinta Invisible, 2017). This year she will present her first solo show at ARCO 2025, represented by Mayoral gallery.

For his part, Guillermo Mora, an artist based in Madrid with his own studio in the city, found in his two-month stay in Barcelona a valuable change of context, one that encouraged research, reflection, and the opening of new lines of work that he had not yet developed in his usual environment. In Spain, Mora is represented by MPA gallery and has exhibited at major institutions such as La Casa Encendida (2013), Tabacalera (2014), Centre d’Art La Panera (2016), SCAD Museum of Art Savannah (2018), Sala Alcalá 31 (2025), Fundación Joan Miró de Madrid (2025), and Galería Marlborough (2024), among others.
