| Winner of the first edition of the Artistic Residency Award organised by Piramidón, Centre d’Art Contemporani, in collaboration with the 2024 Feria Contemporánea de Sevilla. Elena Núñez’s painting emerges from everyday stimuli that act as triggers. These motifs, captured in photographs and stored in the studio, are not faithfully transferred to the canvas but serve as the starting point for an open process. Within this process, the images are transformed, interact with one another, and generate unexpected connections. Each work is conceived as an exercise in exploration, in which the artist reworks those initial traces to better understand her own relationship with her surroundings. | ||
