His most recent works aim to materialize the light spectrum, an invisible and omnipresent beam in space, into our lives. In this ongoing quest to give form to the immaterial, he draws upon several characteristics of light: its movement, its finite speed of 360,000 km/s, its ability to create an infinite array of colors, and its capacity to occupy all existing space, whether empty or full, with the only difference being that its speed decreases when passing through a filled space. Using images captured by photographing sunlight, he employs techniques ranging from screen printing on transparent materials to video, interpreting the massive presence of light in a deeply personal way. | ||
