Tomás Pizá has the ability to capture emotional journeys and the transformations of landscapes over time. Although his background in architecture is reflected in his artistic approach, he seeks to distance himself from conventional formalism.

His deep interest in urbanism and its impact on the people who inhabit it is evident. He considers his work a form of contemporary archaeology, unearthing events and hidden aspects of recent history to reconstruct them through painting. The Mediterranean light, which fascinates him, remains a constant influence in his work, even when he is in more northern locations. For the artist, creative processes are more important than the themes themselves, as these emerge naturally and spontaneously.
