E. Jackson

Jackson works with identity as something non-fixed and multiple. They are developing a language of dynamic forms and motifs through a practice of abstraction. Their paintings engage with molding processes and open systems.

Working with the repetition of minimal gestures and fluid dynamics, the paintings reveal images in states of formation and dissolution. Through experiments with materials, serial production, and distribution, the work explores how paintings operate in the world. The paintings circulate across various mediums, such as exchange, writing, sound, shared ownership, and infinite series. "My work is not about the sharpness of a single moment, but rather about the intimate flicker of ephemeral images."
