Alberto Gil focuses his work on the loss of time associated with non-places or the loss of place, particularly urban ones, through repetitive, mechanical, and calculated processes conceived as a daily routine. The timing of the production of each piece helps to convey the idea of lost or suspended time.
His process leads to performative acts where procedural and conceptual drawing serve as the vestige or catalog of his urban drifts. The use of white, or leucophobia, visually and minimally represents this period of situational inactivity or the act of clearing the mind.
