Dates: 16 December 2011 – 16 January 201230 art works on paper. They’re only and original. All of them are made by our Piramidón artists. They’re shown at our art center with the same format. And here comes the most interesting information: all of them have the same price: 500€. They’re the best choice for Christmas presents.
It has turned out a harmonic and balanced exhibition, thanks to the uniformity of the format. But it’s far from homogeneity: the show achieves to highlight the individuality and creative personality of each participating artist.
The opening will take place the next Friday 16th December at 7pm, and it will come with a lentils soup dish, appropriate to the season's weather and to the good omens that Christmas brings.
All the people that decide to join the Pidamidón membership program the opening day, will have a fantastic gift: an helicopter flight over Barcelona for three people.Participating artists:

Piramidón joins Marrakech Art Fair 2011

For second year in a row Piramidón, Centre d’Art Contemporani joins Marrakech Art Fair, the modern and contemporary art fair that takes place in the Moroccan city. On its second edition, the fair counts on a major presence of galleries, both African and European. Once again, Piramidón is the only Spanish representative and participates with works by four of its resident artists: Esteve Casanoves, José Ramón Bas,Khalid El Bekay i Pere de Ribot.

Miguel Ángel Pascual - Epiqueya
Place: Ferran Cano Gallery, Barcelona
Dates : 22 September - 14 November 2011"Epiqueya" is the third solo show by Miguel Angel Pascual (Resident at Piramidón since 2000). This exhibition brings together fifteen works made between 2010 and 2011, besides three murals that Miguel Ángel Pascual will paint in situ, exclusively for this show.
We will be witness of a work that –as an inspiration, or perhaps even as a "tool" - arises from a large collection of images (about two million, both physical and digital formats) that the artist has and use as background or setting for his paintings.
"Epiqueya" is the first exhibition of a larger series that refers to "acts or moral habits that allow the exemption from a law compliance remaining true to the spirit of it." This Jesuit concept has its pagan version: the end justifies the means. Pascual has chosen images that, in his collection, meet this criterion.

Jordi Fulla - Sixteen-thousand days on the roof

Dates : 22 September - 18 December 2011The Espai VolART of Vila Casas Foundation will host from September 22 last solo collection of our old acquaintance Jordi Fulla (artist in residence at Piramidón from 1991 to 2005).
Maybe it's the most thoughtful and relaxed presentation of the artist, where the eye seeks above all tranquility, peace and the complete absence of haste. This point of view is shared by the mature observer, and presents life as it is, after all: past and memory of the past. The look of the author indulges in tranquility, as he express it clearly in the exhibition catalog: "Now I seek only a sort of slow calm, I want to look without doing anything else, without time, I want to know slowly ... I paint just for this reason, just for this reason the painting is important. It is so and so important because it is useless, because you don’t have to understand anything. How beautiful is her possibility. "
As we said: inescapable.
Patricio Reig - Album di Famiglia
Place: Inmobiliare Aquila, Milano (Italy)
Dates : 22-30 September 2011The reopening of an ancient 13th century palace in the heart of Milan will be the ideal scenario where Patricio Reig will expose his photos, this time under the title "Album di Famiglia". The show will be composed by 20 pieces, which continue the line displayed in "Álbum de Fotos": a look that draws an attitude toward reality that surrounds us, and makes us partakers of the artist's own vision of what has been and has ceased to be.

Seven wineries belonging to the D.O. Costers del Segre, Priorat, Conca de Barberà, Penedès i Empordà "will draw" a journey through the Catalan wine geography. At the event beggining, a technic will make a little speech, giving us some basic notions to perform a wine taste. In the same way, Tono Carbajo will give us some very interesting keys in order to helping us to observe an art work.

Patricio Reig - Photo Album

Dates : 13 November 2010 - 21 January 2011Patricio Reig is a Piramidón based artist since 1993. This November we will have the opportunity to open his latest solo exhibition, tentatively called "Photo Album." Defined by the same artist as a work "polyphonic", Reig photography wants and get sustained as a poetic force, whereby the rescue of forgetfulness is only the first scaffolding of a structure that, like the Borges infinite library, is feeded of the past and the present as a circular stages, endless.

Piramidón with the Tardor de l'Art- Miguel Ángel Pascual
Dates: October - November 2010The Tardor de l'Art is a iniciative coming from the four art galleries associations present in Catalonia. This project has a triple objective: to generate enthusiasm for the art, to bring the galleries close to the people and enhance the gallery sector in Catalonia. This year the subjec in the Tardor de l'Art will be the vinyl and each participating gallery will present a work of art made from this material, with absolute style, technique and thematic freedom.
Miguel Ángel Pascual will represent Piramidón with a lithograph series made with vynil discs used as engraving plates. The result is, in addition to originality, a beautiful work with indubitable artistic value.
The pieces will be exhibited at Piramidón during October and November, coinciding with the broadcast period of the Tardor de l'Art event.

Marrakech Art Fair
Place: Palace Es Saadi, Marrakech
Dates: 8 - 11 October 2010Between 8 and 11 October will be held Marrakech Art Fair, first exhibition of modern and contemporary art in Morocco. Piramidón will participate in this important initiative promoting artistic works by three of its resident artists: Khalid El Bekay (which earlier this year has exhibited at the gallery Bab Rouah of Rabat), Juan Manuel Reyes and Pere de Ribot.
First edition of Marrakech Art Fair counts on the presence of galleries from France, Germany, Morocco, Tunisia and UAE, among other countries. Piramidón will be the only representation of Spain in this exciting event.
José Ramón Bas - Once upon a time: a collection of memories recovered from elsewhere
Place: Hamill Gallery, Boston (USA)
Dates: 15 October - 30 December 2010Our artist José Ramón Bas will be very soon flying to the States to inaugurate his new "collection of memories" in the Hamill Gallery in Boston, Massachusetts. Photographs of faces, objects and landscapes build something like a log of the many trips that the artist has done, especially around black Africa. It is noteworthy that the Hamill Gallery is specialized in spreading African art, and that's why the work of Bas will be shown in a place with a special affinity.
In addition, between 20 ans 24 October, the artist will participate with La Fábrica in Estampa 2010, 18th International Fair of Multiple Contemporary Art, which will be held at IFEMA (Madrid Fair). As you can see, there is a lot of work that our José Ramón has to do...

Paco García Barcos - Art Party at Galleries
Place: PIRAMIDÓN Art Contemporary Center
Dates: Party - June 5 at 19h; Exhibition - June 5 to 19 2010Past 5th of June was the Art Party at Galleries. It's mission was to transform for one day galleries into spaces containers of all the Arts. Piramidón presented for the occasion an explosive combination integrated by the artist Paco García Barcos and the acrobat and juggler Carlos Paco.
The Fran Doutedetoute Impossible Shop, a work in progress that García Barcos modifies ad extends week after week, invades the expositive space inviting us to enter in the world of the absurd and the grotesque. Thanks to the acrobat and juggler Carlos Paco, we approached to the circus univers, a world always present in García Barcos work.

Carles Gabarró. "La Fábrica"
Place: Juan Cabré Museum, Calaceite (Teruel)
Dates: June 12 to August 1 2010The exhibition will be composed entirely by works from the series called Beceite, a place that the artist knows very well because he sojourn there for 17 years. During the night, this scenary has inspired a certain fear in Gabarró and it is precisely this feeling the thing that the artist has tried to capture in this pictorial series.

Tono Carbajo & Rebeca Plana

Dates: July 2010Showing his role as a curator, the artist of Piramidón Paco García Barcos discovered a potential link between the works of his studio neighbors Rebeca Plana and Tono Carbajo.
His work has transformed this potential in an exhibition next July at Fernando Latorre gallery in Madrid. The exhibition will seek to establish a dialogue between two ways of understanding the narrative process apparently different.

Alicia de Ibarra. "Vision einer Landchaft"

Dates: April 30 to May 2 2010Alicia de Ibarra's landscape emerges from an abstract experience and in a slow way it reaches the limits of the figuration. This kind of ambiguity makes her landscape more disturbing and suggestive.
Next April 30 at the Lincoln International headquarters in Viena Alicia will expose a selection of her landscapes. Edelbert Köb, director of MUMOK (Vienas' art contemporary museum) will open the event.

Juan Manuel Reyes. "This is you"

Dates: March 5 to April 17 2010After three years, the Malaga-born artist Juan Manuel Reyes is back to gallery Haurie with the show "This is you". According to Reyes words, the exhibition aims to be a project where the viewer is reflected in. That's the reason for the complicity in the title.
The show comes from the idea of "cart", which fascinated Reyes during his trips to Syria and Mali a year ago.The artist adapted this rustic tool to the occidental world and filled it with emotional stuff.
Althoug he's immersed in the abstract, Juan Manuel Reyes works invite us to interpretation with a figurative nuance.

Gino Rubert. "ATOPIA. Art i ciutat al s. XXI"

Dates: February 25 to May 24 2010"ATOPIA. Art i ciutat al s. XXI" is the first contemporary art exhibition at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona. It has been curated by CCCB's director, Josep Ramoneda, and the art critic and curator Iván de la Nuez.
The atopia is the discomfort feeling of the individual in front of the city, which does not represent at all the dreamed and expected paradise that utopia offers us.
Beside 40 contemporary artists like Sergio Belinchón, Andreas Gursky and Thomas Ruff, among others, Gino Rubert adds up his point of view about the atopia concept.

Khalid El Bekay. "20 de Quarante 3"

Dates: February 2010Khalid El Bekay presents in Rabat his recent works: crossroads of cultures, a forum where his thoughts and feelings express his more personal concerns.
Apparently, his works seem to have a common parameter that identify them with a personal touch, but El Bekay never falls into repetition despite he explains always similar situations.
The colours and the references to his origins are key features of a great expressive power work.

Rebeca Plana: Piramidón's invited artist from January to May 2010
From January 2010 we count on the presence of the Valencian artist Rebeca Plana. The forcefulness of the graphics in her work, the use of textures to communicate feelings and the ironical titles of each piece, they all transmit contemporaneousness and very elaborated artistic expositions.
Rebeca is preparing at her studio in Piramidón her next exhibition at Rita Castellote Gallery in Madrid.

Esteve Casanoves i Albert Vergés. "Remor fluorescent"

Dates: December 13 2009 to January 17 2010Remor fluorescent is an ambitious project where Casanoves offers us, through the intervention on the exhibition space, the possibility to feel its internal architecture in an almost abstract way, blurring its limits.

Gino Rubert's painting have been shown in galleries and museums around the world. His last project is an exhibition at the Museu de l'Empordà.
Gino Rubert started painting in close connection to illustration. His mexican roots and the references to “realismo mágico” are evident. His images are intense and seductive, at first they can be considered “normal” but a second look reveals disturbing enygmas.NEW TEMPORARY STUDIO FOR RESIDENT ARTIST
Piramidon has for a long time housed international artists but now we want to go a step further to host the best of contemporary creation by invitation instead of application residence program . This is why the temporary studio is currently being remodeled to hold both a space to work and a private bedroom with a kitchen and bathroom. It will be opened again by January 2009.

Located in the Parisian neighbourhood of Belleville , this young and multidisciplinary gallery is focused in French and Chinese art. This is the fifth solo exhibition by Carles Gabarró in Paris where he lived for two years at ht beginning of his career as a painter. His last exhibition was in 1991.

Dates: 2 September 15 October.Miguel Angel Pascual has opened last Sunday 2nd September in the Frank Pages Gallerie of the German city of Baden-Baden, an exhibition that under the title "Bacelona in Baden-Baden” and together with Jordi Fulla and Lluis Ventós it picks up the last works of these artists, resident in Barcelona. The mentioned exhibition coincides with the participation of Catalonia as an invited country in the International Fair of the book of Frankfurt. It will remain open until the 15th October.

Fran Doutedetoute es una tienda imposible, detallista de muñecos mutantes, libros de cuentos ilustrados manualmente (ejemplares únicos), cajas, máscaras y relojes.
